The Veritas Forum works with Christianity, philosophy, religion, science and other disciplines. Veritas, Latin for Truth, seeks to situate the person of Jesus and Christian teachings alongside other world views in academic discourse. The first Veritas Forum was held at Harvard University in 1992. By 2008, 300,000 students had attended over 300 forums at 100 campuses across the United States, Canada, France, England, and the Netherlands.
Erwin McManus is an author, speaker, activist, filmmaker and innovator who specializes in the field of developing and unleashing personal and organizational creativity, uniqueness, innovation and diversity. In other words, he gets bored really easily. Erwin also serves as the primary communicator and cultural architect of Mosaic in Los Angeles. When David Crowder first started writing music, he mainly focused on lyrics that discussed the difficult things he was going through. At that time there were not many congregational worship songs that did that so he struck a chord with many people. Today, David says that he writes many of his songs while riding in the car in the country with his wife.
U2 – In 1985 I spent an entire night in a snow storm waiting to purchase tickets for U2’s Unforgetable Fire Tour. This was the first concert I ever took my wife (then fiance’) to… On a any given day, you’ll hear One, All Along The Watch Tower, All That You Can’t Leave Behind, Bad, Sunday Bloody Sunday and many others coming from my iPod.
